The idea for this picture came from a shirt I have. Some of you might know the one I'm talking about...maybe not...I don't expect you all to memorize my wardrobe ;P

Anyway, this picture was pretty fun to do. I had never realizied just how cute zebras are until I started searching for pictures to use as references. They're just like short chubby horses with stripes and mohawks! :love:

Zebra stripes are time consuming...but still fun. And I'm happy with how the coloring came out. The scanner took away from some of the prettyfulness, and I had to rotate it too, which made the resolution worse, but I think it still looks okay...

For the background, I wanted the effect of the zebras having the only color, so I left it black and white. Maybe it would have looked better if I did more shading. Oh well. And yes, those odd things are supposed to be trees.

I love the stripes! They're so colorful even though they went through all that trauma...and they're made even more realistic by the fact that none of the patterns are the same! Even their eyes are abnormal colors!

Don't worry, I'm awake now! The colors are so prettyful, and you are so good at drawing horse-like animals! I like how the background is all black and white, which ACCENTUATES the colorfulness of the zebras.

Thanks! I copied the poses from pictures if found on Google, and for the colors I just colored really hard to make it look brighter. =D I'm glad you like it!
